Our Team of Expert First Aid Instructors

Kevin Wheeler MSc, Dip HE, MCPara – Clinical Director, Vesalius Medical Ltd

The Vesalius Medical team is made up of expert clinical educators, all of whom are highly experienced both as clinicians and medical instructors. The team is headed-up by Kevin Wheeler, a highly experienced and qualified Pre-Hospital Care Practitioner and a UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Paramedic. Kevin’s background is primarily with HM Forces, where he served as a Royal Marines Commando Combat Medic and then as a UK Special Forces Operator, operating in environments such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Northern Ireland and the Arctic Circle. 

Kevin is a highly experienced clinical educator and regularly teaches on numerous faculties, relaying his knowledge and expertise to other healthcare professionals including Doctors, Nurses and fellow Paramedics. Kevin is a National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) instructor, a Resuscitation Council (UK) Adult Life Support (ALS) instructor and a Resuscitation Council (UK) European Paediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS) instructor. Kevin is passionate about clinical education and enjoys teaching all levels of medical care, ranging from basic First Aid Training, right up to Advanced Life Support and Resuscitation. Kevin still frequently works as a frontline Paramedic responding to 999 emergency calls and is a member of the College of Paramedics.
